Searches in Kozhikode's Muslim-owned bookstalls flayed: KNM

The State committee of the Kerala Naduvathul Mujahideen (KNM), on Wednesday, alleged that the State government was extending a freehand to some police officials to carry out searches in bookstalls owned by members of the Muslim community.

They alleged that there were hidden attempts to label some of the books as “communal” and ban their circulation without any sensible reasons. If the searches continued, the community members would be compelled to launch protests through democratic means, they warned.
