Rs. 37 lakh unaccounted money seized

The Koduvally police on Saturday seized unaccounted money to the tune of Rs.37 lakh from a house in the region and took into custody four persons in connection with the incident. The search was conducted at the house around 8.30 a.m. following a tip off received by Koduvally Circle Inspector A. Premjith. Several incriminating documents, nine mobile phones, and fax numbers, were recovered from the four-member gang.

Mr. Premjith said the seized notes were all in the denominations of Rs.1,000 and Rs.500. The amount and the case details would be handed over to the Enforcement Directorate and the Income Tax Department.
