The CPI(ML) Red Flag will hold its State conference at the S.K. Pottekkatt Hall here on January 15, 16 and 17.

The three-day conference is being held prior to the 9th national conference of the party scheduled to be held in Raichur, Karnataka, on February 8, 9,10 and 11. Party general secretary M.S. Jayakumar will inaugurate the conference.

At a news conference here on Thursday, CPI(ML) Red Flag State general secretary P.C. Unnichekkan said that the flag post for the conference would be brought from Kakkayam Smarakam where P. Rajan, a student of the erstwhile Regional Engineering College, Calicut, was tortured and killed in local police custody during the Emergency and the flag, from Thirunelli, where Naxalite leader A. Varghese was gunned down.
