The IIA Awards for Excellence in Architecture 2015 organised here on Friday saw a record number of 500 entries from across the country, thus becoming the most represented architecture awards of the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA).
The two-day event, Crossroads 2016, saw the attendance of over 1,000 delegates comprising architects and urban planners from across the country. With the revamped two-tier jury system, the awards this year were adjudged in 10 categories. All the 61 shortlisted entries were presented live by top notch architects, a statement said here.
IIA Calicut Centre chairman P.P. Vivek, who is also the convener of Crossroads 2016, says it is an important event where the best within the fraternity converge under one platform to deliberate, discuss and internally review the state of architecture today.
