The Farook College management committee and teachers on Thursday felicitated B.A. Hamna Mariyam who secured 28th rank in the Civil Services Examination. She was an Assistant Professor at the Department of English while clearing the examination.
College authorities said Ms. Mariyam, who joined the department in 2016, was popular among her students for her capabilities in teaching. She was one of the three teachers who cracked the examination while being part of the college, they said.
P.K. Ahammed, chairman of the College Management Committee, presented her a memento during the reception. College Principal E.P. Imbichikoya and manager C.P. Kunhimohammed were present. P.M.A. Hakkim and K.K. Ashraf were the other two faculty members who earlier made their entry to the civil service while being part of the college.
