The Perambra police have begun a probe into the attacks on houses and a restaurant at Perambra and Nochard grama panchayats on Wednesday night.

At least four houses and a restaurant were attacked with crude bombs by unidentified miscreants. No casualties were reported in the incidents.

Investigators have recovered pieces of steel and other materials of exploded devices from the houses and the restaurant.

A motorbike was also attacked during the series of attacks that rocked the rural belts of Kozhikode after Vishu festival.

The police suspect that the attacks were a sequel to the ongoing hostility between the CPI(M) - DYFI and the Sivaji Seva Samiti in the area.
