Provident Fund pensioners have warned their agitation for enhancement of pension would be intensified with processions that would crisscross the State to convince the public about the legitimacy of their demand.

The first of these would be flagged off by P. Karunakaran, MP from Kasaragod, on November 6 and the second one from Neyyattinkaran in Thiruvananthapuram district on November 10 by CITU all-India vice-president K.O. Habib.

The protest processions, being held under the banner of the State committee of the Provident Fund Pensioners Association, would converge at Ernakulam on November 14. Leaders of INTUC would also address the valedictory function which would to be held at Kaloor.

This would be followed up with a march to Ernakulam PF office the next day. The association leaders said there were 36 lakh PF pensioners.
