The Rashtriya Pracharana Yathra led by Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP) leader K.K. Rema against political fascism and corruption reached the district on Sunday.
Hundreds of party sympathisers took part in the rally that called upon the government to order a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the murder of RMP leader T.P. Chandrasekharan.
Addressing the first public convention in connection with the rally at Vadakara, Ms. Rema, who is also the wife of the slain RMP leader, said that people of Kerala was fed up with the political foul play and moral degradation of both the Left- and Right-wing parties.
It was highly unfortunate that Kerala MLAs were not even in a situation to protect the glory of the Assembly, she said.
The RMP leader also alleged that the United Democratic Front (UDF) and the Left Democratic Front (LDF) were united in all unholy political games behind the screen, which the people of Kerala had already recognised.
“The mission of our Yathra is to expose the politics of this unholy alliance,” she said.
Organising committee chairman N.P. Bhaskaran presided over the meeting. RMP State leaders T.L. Santhosh and K.S. Hariharan were present.
