The total number of voters in Kozhikode district, which comprises two Lok Sabha constituencies, is 23,53, 059 as per the final voters list released by the district administration on Sunday.

In the Kozhikode Lok Sabha constituency, there are 11,77,644 voters, and in Vadakara, the number is 11,75,415.

Balussery Assembly constituency, in Kozhikode Lok Sabha constituency, has the highest number of voters at 1,94,097. Kozhikode South Assembly constituency has the lowest number of voters at 1,38,600 voters.

The voters include 4,113 expatriates and 8,259 service voters. The highest concentration of expatriate voters is in Kuttiyadi Assembly constituency.

As per newly released figures, there are 1,149 Non-resident Keralite voters. In the list of service voters, Balussery leads with 1,463 persons.

The numbers of voters from other Assembly constituencies are: Vadakara- 1,48,980, Kuttiyadi-1,70,715, Nadapuram-1,88,681, Koyilandy-1,73,767, Perambra-1,55,730, Balussery-1,94,097, Elathur-1,72,889, Kozhikode North-1,56,924, Kozhikode South-1,38,600, Beypore-1,73,614, Kunnamangalam-1,90,693, Koduvally-1,50,827, Koothuparamba-1,68,911 and Thalassery-1,57,631.

To check names in the newly released voters list, citizens could make use of the touch screen facility available at the Collectorate and the Taluk offices. It could also be done through the website of the Chief Electoral Officer.

As per an official communication issued here on Sunday, the new voters list includes all people who submitted their identity details for entry till March 10. The voter cards will be distributed to them by April 10.
