The first responsibility of the newly inducted Home Minister is to bring to light the involvement of kingpins behind the murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party leader T.P. Chandrasekharan through a proper enquiry, Union Minister of State for Home Mullappally Ramachandran has said.
He was speaking to the media on Thursday after a visit to the house of V. Anoop, a Hindu Aikya Vedi worker who suffered serious injuries during a political clash and later died at the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
Police reportsMr. Ramachandran said the police investigation reports submitted in the court had already mentioned the need to conduct a comprehensive enquiry into the conspiracy that led to the murder.
“The role of Communist Party of India (Marxist) leaders in Kannur and Kozhikode districts too should be probed,” he demanded.
