Nod for Koyilandy harbour estimate

The Union government has approved the revised estimate totalling Rs. 65.74 crore for the Koyilandy fishing harbour, a spokesman for Fisheries Minister K. Babu said here on Wednesday. The estimate was prepared by the Harbour Engineering Department. With the Union government granting approval, decks had been cleared for resumption of work on the fishing harbour. The construction of roads, parking lots, canteen, shops, toilets and compound wall which had got held up for want of funds would be resumed shortly. The spokesman said the Union government had set December 2016 as the deadline for completion of construction.
