The Rajasthan Grameen Mela has turned out to be a hot shopping destination in the city with avenues yet to open up for the summer vacation.

The mela that began on March 25 features a large variety of handloom and handicraft products from different parts of the country to cater to the needs of men, women, as well as children.

The Chikan work, Bandhni silk saris, and batik saris are a novelty this year in additional to the usual fare of Bengal cotton, Jamdani, and other traditional varieties from different States. The Gicha silk and Tussar silk saris with embroidery are also new.
