New office for minorities finance body in Kozhikode

Industries Minister P. K. Kunhalikutty will inaugurate the State office of the Kerala State Minorities Development Finance Corporation (KSMDFC) in Kozhikode on Saturday.

Minister for Urban Affairs and Minority Welfare Manjalamkuzhi Ali will preside over the function. An official communication issued here on Thursday said the corporation, with the full-fledged functioning of its office, would mainly act as a channelising agency for the Central Minorities Development Finance Corporation. It was constituted as per the recommendations of the Sachar committee, it said.

Union Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahamed and Union Minster of State for Home Mullappally Ramachandran will attend the inaugural function with State Ministers.
