National handloom expo in Kozhikode from February 8

The National Handloom Exhibition will be held at Marine Grounds on Kozhikode Beach from February 8 to 26.

The handloom exhibition would be organised by the Union Ministry of Textiles in association with the State Department of Handlooms, District Industries Centre, and District Handloom Development Committee, a press release said.

Inauguration

The fair would be inaugurated by Industries Minister P.K. Kunhalikkutty at 3 p.m. on February 8.

As part of the handloom exhibition, there would be various seminars, buyers and sellers meet, cultural programmes, and a theme pavilion.

Twenty percentage government rebate would be applicable to all handloom products at the fair, the release said.

Gift coupon

There would be a gift coupon for every purchase of Rs.1000, the release said.

Daily lucky winners would get Rs.1,000 worth handloom products while the weekly lucky winners would get a refrigerator.

The mega prize would be a Tata Nano car, the press release said.
