More facilities at Arippara waterfall

The Tourism Department will introduce more facilities near the Arippara waterfall in the district to attract more domestic and international tourists.

The second-phase project works will begin in June. These include construction of roads to the tourism site, hand railings, comfort stations, and cafeterias. Landscaping will also get priority.

The department will spend Rs.49 lakh for the beautification work, a communication issued by the district administration said. Signage will be displayed at all important locations to help the sightseers.

Officials said the tendering process for the second-phase works was in the final stage.

The first phase was completed at a total cost of Rs.6 lakh.
