No papers were filed on Tuesday, the third day of filing nominations for contest in the Lok Sabha elections from the Vadakara and Kozhikode constituencies.

The submission of nominations at Collectorate would be videographed, sources said.

But, candidates and campaign managers were busy meeting voters and making their presence felt in the constituencies.

A mock poll would be held on Wednesday to test efficiency of electronic voting machines (EVMs). Representatives of all political parties could attend the exercise, election officials said.

A media monitoring cell would be inaugurated at the collectorate on Wednesday.

The cell would scrutinise election coverage and ensure that the model code of conduct for coverage was adhered to.

Remankumar, Revenue Secretary, Bihar, the Election Observer for Kozhikode, would reach here on Friday, an official communication said here.
