People-friendly police

Later speaking to the media, Mr. Chennithala said the visit was made as part of his continuing efforts to know the situation in various police stations and conduct discussion with the police officers on various issues. “The main purpose is to check whether the officers are practising a people-friendly approach,” he said.

The Home Minister, who expressed satisfaction over the inspection, said that similar visits would be conducted at other stations as well.
