MES seminar on modern education

November 14, 2014 10:42 am | Updated 10:42 am IST - Kozhikode:

The Muslim Education Society (MES) as part of its golden jubilee celebrations is organising a State-level seminar on the history of modern education among Muslim communities in the State here on Saturday.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, jubilee publicity committee chairman P.K. Abdul Latheef said that it was doubtful if historians had ‘rightly’ assessed and registered the contributions of educational reformers among the Muslim community during the past several decades. “This seminar under the aegis of MES is an attempt in that direction,” said Mr. Latheef.
