A commemoration of Swadesabhimani Ramakrishna Pillai will be held here on Thursday to mark the anniversary of deportation of the legendary journalist from Travancore.
At the function, to be inaugurated by Union Minister Mullappally Ramachandran, the Swadesabhimani Award would be presented to veteran journalist Madavana Balakrishna Pillai. Author C. Radhakrishnan and Vice- Chancellor of Malayalam University K. Jayakumar will speak.
A media seminar featuring senior journalists of major media organisations will be inaugurated by K. Muraleedharan, MLA.
