The Railway police, on Sunday, arrested a Maharashtra native who reportedly stole the laptop of a passenger from the Kozhikode railway station. Laxman Arjun Pawar, 22, was arrested after the footage of closed-circuit television cameras at the station was examined.

According to the police, the incident took place on November 22.

“He, along with his friend Bimar Ramdas, 38, was snatching the laptop of Mohammed Abdurahiman, a native of Tirur, while he was boarding the Coimbatore Intercity Express from the Kozhikode station,” the police said.

While examining the CCTV visuals, the police found the duo’s entry into the railway station with empty hands and return with the laptop bag. Though Bimar Ramdas had been arrested a few weeks after the incident, Laxman Arjun Pawar, the main accused in the case, was at large.
