Kudumbasree on how to use machines for work in fields

The District Kudumbasree Mission in association with the Kerala Agro-Industrial Corporation (KAICo) is giving training for selected Kudumbasree workers in using agricultural machinery including tractors.

The first phase of the seven-day training programme has begun at the cultivation field near the Vengeri Agricultural Market here on Monday.

First phase

A team of 150 women selected from the district will be given training in using machineries including tiller, garden tiller, and grass cutter during the first phase.

This is for the first time that training was being given to the Kudumbasree workers in collaboration with KAICo, said the release.

Around 25 Kudumbasree workers from the Balussery division attended training programme on Monday.

Inauguration

Secretary of the Vengeri Agricultural Market P.K. Muhammed inaugurated the training programme.

Kudumbasree district mission coordinator Muhammed Faizal presided over the function.

KAICo training in-charge M. Rakesh and Kudumbasree consultant A. Nisar among others were present.

Training would be given to the group of workers from Thodannur block on the second day of the programme, said the release.
