The Corporation-level C.D.S. Kalotsavam will be held at Tagore Centenary Hall on October 1 as a continuation of the various programmes organised for Kudumbasree members in all 75 wards, as part of the Corporation’s golden jubilee celebrations. There will be competitions in Mappilappattu, light music, group song, group dance, Thiruvathira, and Oppana. Winners of ward-level art festivals held earlier will be contestants.
Mayor A.K. Premajam will inaugurate the festival at 9.30 a.m. Noted lyricist and music director Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri will be the chief guest at the valedictory function at 7 p.m. A. Pradeep Kumar, MLA, will give away prizes.
