Kovoor boy bags top rank in engg. entrance

M. Nandagopal, a native of Kovoor near here, has bagged the fifth rank in the engineering entrance test, the results of which were declared on Tuesday.

Nandagopal’s father M. Manoj Kumar told The Hindu that his son was planning to pursue B.S. (Research) in Physics at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.

He said Nandagopal studied for Plus Two at Maharishi International Residential School, Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu. He attended coaching for JEE too. “His other interests are chess and music.” Earlier, Nandagopal had secured 93rd rank in JEE (Advanced).
