IUML hopes KC(M) will remain in UDF

August 07, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 07:40 am IST - Kozhikode:

Reacting to the political developments following the Kerala Congress (M)'s decision to adopt an equidistant policy towards both the Congress and the CPI(M)-led coalitions, Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) State president Panakkad Syed Hyderali Shihab Thangal has said that he hoped that the Kerala Congress (M) will still remain in the United Democratic Front (UDF) fold.

IUML treasurer P.K. Kunhalikutty told journalists that the UDF had a long-standing relationship with Mr. Mani and his party. The ties cannot be severed all of a sudden. There could have been many issues that put the KC(M) in a spot. However, these issues could be solved through discussions, he said. — Special Correspondent
