Officials of the Forensic Department on Saturday collected evidence from a house at Mottakkunnu, near Kolahalamedu, in Wagamon where a woman had allegedly killed her newborn twins and hid the bodies inside the bathroom.

Vijeesha, her husband, Praveen, and father-in-law Kunjumon were taken in custody by the police on Friday.

Vijeesha, after delivery, was taken to a local hospital and then to the Medical College Hospital, Kottayam.

The doctors found that it was a case of postpartum haemorrhage and the police were informed. On interrogation she confessed to the killing, the police said.

The bodies were buried in the presence of the police near the house on Saturday.
