Hartal announcement termed wrong

March 07, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:39 am IST - Kozhikode:

The hartal called by the cooperative banks in the district on March 10 alleging “unlawful style of functioning” on the part of the Karassery Bank was due to some “misunderstanding” on the part of the banks, Karassery Service Cooperative Bank chairman N.K. Abdurahiman has said.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Mr. Abdurahiman said the bank had not “violated” any of the existing rules or regulations set by the government for its functioning anywhere in the district. Maintaining that the bank management was ready to “correct” if anyone any concrete out-of-the way operation by it, Mr. Abdurahiman said the present allegations against the bank was only out of some personal grudges and “misconstruction” about the existing rules.
