Handwriting Wizards finale tomorrow

228 students qualify for final from about 10,000 participants

The Kozhikode finale of The Handwriting Wizards 2017 will be held at Devagiri CMI Public School on Wednesday.

The event, organised by The Hindu In School in partnership with BIC Cello India, is in two categories - Juniors (Classes 4 to 6) and Seniors (Classes 7 to 9). The registration of participants will begin at 9 a.m. and the event will begin at 10 a.m.

Top three winners in each category will be given prizes and merit certificates. All participants will be given participation certificates. Raghavan Payyanad, professor at the Centre for Folk Arts Studies at the University of Calicut, will present the prizes to winners at a ceremony to be held from 12 noon the same day.

Devagiri CMI Public School, Kozhikode, is the venue sponsor and Fruitful Homes Purple Grass is the regional co-sponsor of the event.

About 10,000 students from 20 schools had participated in the preliminary round of The Handwriting Wizards 2017. Of them, 228 qualified for the finale. For any question on the finale, the contestants may call The Hindu (0495-2762202) or contact Ms.Sunitha (98464-30981).
