The office for Government Arts and Science College sanctioned for Balussery has started functioning at Valannur Government Lower Primary School, where the college will be housed till a permanent building is ready for the institution.
Purushan Kadalundi, MLA, inaugurated the office on Tuesday. A.K. Mani, Balussery block panchayat president, presided over the function. Panangad grama panchayat president Ismail Kurumboyil and Kurachundu panchayat president Augustine Karakkada spoke.
Forms for admission to the college will be distributed from Wednesday. B.Com., B.Sc. Maths, and Development Economics courses will begin this year. I.K. Imbichikoya has been appointed special officer of the college.
