Farook College to honour achievers among students

The Farook College Old Students’ Association (FOSA) will honour students and former students from the college who have won laurels in arts and sports, here on Monday.

K.M. Naseer, Principal, Farook College, and K. Kunhalavi, president, FOSA, told the media here on Saturday that filmmaker Balachandra Menon, who was recently included in the Limca Book of Records for directing and acting in the largest number of movies, would be the chief guest.

Anees Mappila, who won the national film award for the best documentary, Sithara Krishnakumar, who won the State film award for the best playback singer (female), both former students, and P.C. Anurag and Mohammed Shareef, members of the Kerala football team which won the Santosh Trophy recently, would be honoured.

Members of the college fine arts team, who won the Calicut University students union’s inter-zone arts festival, and the college football team, which won the Kozhikode 'A' division title, too would be felicitated. M.K. Muneer, MLA, and writer K.P. Sudheera would be present.
