Fair probe sought into women’s death in Oman

The State Committee of the Pravasi Council Kerala has demanded action from the State and Central governments to bring out the truth behind the deaths of three Kerala women in Salala, Oman, in the last one year. The council has pointed out that the husbands of these women were arrested and imprisoned in all the three cases and that no proper investigation was conducted to bring out the truth.

The Central government and the Indian embassy should pressurise the Oman government to conduct a proper investigation. A memorandum to this effect has been forwarded to the Prime Minister and the Minister for External Affairs through M.K. Raghavan, MP, a press release said.
