As much as Rs.47.27 crore was given away as education loan in the district till the half-yearly period of September, a mid-year review of the district’s banking sector held here on Thursday said.
As many as 2,477 students got loans, the meeting was told. As much as Rs.2,562 crore was given to priority sectors during the period. Rs.1,384 crore was given as loan to the agriculture sector, Rs.206 crore to the industries sector, and Rs.9,726 crore spent on other sectors. The total credit was Rs.15,076 crore.
