e-district project a success in Kozhikode

The e-district project that enables the public to access various government services online has turned out to be a success in the district. In the two years of its implementation, 9.91 lakh applications for various services were submitted through the project and 91 per cent of these cleared.

The project was launched in Kozhikode on March 23, 2013 under the aegis of the State Information Technology Mission, Department of Revenue, and Akshaya.

All village offices in the district were linked online as part of the project.

Services

As of now, 24 certificates from the Revenue Department are available online from village offices.

The Akshaya centre provides facility to apply online for the certificates and to issue certificates, cleared by the respective officers, with digital signature.

The facility is available in 165 Akshaya centres in the district, a press release issued here said.
