With an improvement of about half a per cent from what was announced earlier, the district has secured a 99.38 per cent in the SSLC examination, the result of which was re-announced after corrections in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday.
Kozhikode had registered 98.97 per cent when the result was first announced by Education Minister P.K. Abdu Rabb last week.
Top spot
Now the district is sharing the top spot with the Kottayam in the State level.
Last year, the pass percentage of the district was only 97.14 with as many as 1,876 winning A+ grade in all subjects. The district is also learned to have made a significant improvement in terms of the number of students with A+ grade in all subjects this year, the details of which are available on the it@school website.
