‘Cultiversity’ launched

Education activist and Magsasay awardee Sandeep Pandey inaugurated ‘Cultiversity’, a global creative university and also the 11th National celebrity teachers’ congress, in Kozhikode on Monday.

‘Cultiversity’ is an idea that turned out to be one of the finalists in the National Entrepreneurship Summit organised by the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, recently. Historian M.G.S. Narayanan is the first Chancellor of this alternative university that aims at promoting creative learning and teaching.

Smile India 2010, the National Celebrity Teachers’ Congress was organised by Delhi-based Chamber of Education and Kozhikode-based Global Peace Trust as part of the forthcoming National Education Summit.

Around 200 teachers from across the country took part in the congress.

Classes by experts on robotic teaching and other novelties in teaching besides natural democracy was part of the convention. It also included a media seminar on ‘Education of the new generation and their new media habits.’

Education Director of the Chamber P.K. Noushad presided over.
