Contractors’ demand

The Kerala Government Contractors’ Association on Monday sought the intervention of the State government to streamline the existing method of work supervision by the Public Works Department. Speaking to reporters here, the leaders of the association said it was time to redeploy the existing staff for strengthening the activities of various section offices. Also, the government should form State-level and district-level consultancies, enrolling professionals to improve the performance of various engineering wings, they said. — Staff Reporter
