Calicut University VC M. Abdul Salam gives away awards

Calicut University Vice Chancellor M. Abdul Salam has said that the distance education facility offered by the university will be linked with institutions of religious education.

Addressing an award-distribution session held as part of the 51st anniversary celebrations of Jamia Nooriyya Arabic College, Pattikkad, on Thursday, Dr. Salam described the Jamia Nooriyya as the pride of Muslim community. Dr. Salam gave away the trophy to Kodangadu Dars team, which emerged champions in the arts festival. Aligarh Muslim University Malappuram Centre Director K.A. Zakariyya was the chief guest.

Jamia principal K. Alikutty Musliar, K. Mammad Faizi, and Calicut University Syndicate member Abid Hussain Thangal spoke.

Samastha Kerala Jamiyyathul Mudarriseen president Mohammed Jifri Muthukoya Thangal demanded that the Dars system be revamped by retaining its core values.

He was inaugurating a teachers’ conference on Thursday.

Anwar Sadik Faizi presented an action plan. P. Kunhani Musliar presided. Jaleel Faizi Pullankode and A.V. Abdurahman Musliar spoke.
