Best State branch award for Kozhikode IMA unit

The Indian Medical Association Kerala State branch has been selected the best State branch in the national awards of the IMA Academy of Medical Specialities (IMAAMS). Kozhikode branch has been selected the best branch in the country.

V.G. Pradeep Kumar, neurologist at Baby Memorial Hospital here, has been selected the best State branch chairman while K.P. Balakrishnan, cardiologist at PVS Hospital, is the best State branch secretary. Johnson Francis is the best branch chairman while Roy R. Chandran is the best branch secretary.

Various activities taken up by the branches such as Continuing Medical Education programmes, workshops, researches, paper presentations, membership activities and programmes to create social awareness were considered for the award.

The awards will be presented at the IMAAMS National Conference to be held in Pune on October 26, a press release said.
