Anti-defacement cell of Kozhikode gets 21 complaints

The Anti-Defacement Cell has received has received 21 complaints in the district so far. The cell has been constituted to check violation of poll conduct by candidates and political parties during the election to the three-tier local bodies.

Assistant Collector Rohit Meena, who is the cell nodal officer settled complaints pertaining to destruction of banners and posters at public places in Kozhikode, Vadakara , Thamarassery and Koyilandy taluks.

A secretary of a cooperative bank has been asked to give an explanation as to why the bank promoted a political party’s campaign in Mavoor grama panchayat. The squad is functioning at the taluk level led by a tahsildar. The public can inform the squads against defacement at Kozhikode (9447183930); Koyilandy (9447134235); Vadakara(9447045361) and Thamarassery (9895889383).
