An exhibition that concluded at the Malabar Chamber Of Commerce hall on Thursday was noted for the union of five women entrepreneurs from Kozhikode who have made their mark in four different fields.

Deepa had come up with a collection of dress materials and saris directly sourced from weavers in Karnataka, West Bengal, and Maharashtra. Her exhibits, especially silk saris, were notable for their rich and elegant look.

Ranjini Mohan displayed a variety of designer bedsheets and bed spreads with unique embroidery and cut-work patterns.

All the bedsheets, made in either cotton or a mix of cotton and satin, had matching pillow cases.

She also showcased some daily-use cotton home linen in unique designs.

Aarti K. Sampath is a party decorator through and through. Her wedding trousseau baskets, photo frames, gift platters, and jewellery boxes were embellished with dry flowers and beads.

Also on display was a wide range of gifting ideas that fits every occasion.

The “cake sisters” — Sila and Nila — are specialised in homemade cakes. They supply customised cakes for birthday parties and other occasions.

All those who took part in the exhibition run home-based businesses. All five have seen success in their own fashion and earn a tidy sum every month.
