The Kerala Social Security Mission conducted a street play and an open forum on ‘Security and legal protection for women’ as part of World Women’s Day celebrations here on Tuesday.

The students of Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) programme at Safa College of Arts and Science, Pookkattiri, staged a street play titled ‘Aval Avaraya Katha,’ portraying the neglect and prejudices women suffer in the society.

District panchayat president A.P. Unnikrishnan inaugurated the programme titled ‘Sadhairyam Munnottu.’ Vice president Sakeena Pulpadan presided over the programme.
