The 17th edition of The Hindu Young World Quiz for schoolchildren will be held at The Taj Gateway Hotel, P.T. Usha Road, Kozhikode, on Monday.
The event, presented by Camlin Mechanical Pencils, is open to students from Classes VII to IX.
The contest will begin at 10 a.m. and the registration of participants will begin at 9 a.m.
Each contesting team must consist of two members from the same school. Cross teams from different schools are not allowed. Any number of teams from the same school may take part in the competition.
Each team must pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹200.
Of the six final teams, only two teams from the same school will be permitted.
Apart from prizes for winners and certificates for all participants, there will be prizes for members of the audience coming up with instant answers. The event is powered by the Life Insurance Corporation of India.
Prizes will be presented to the winners at a ceremony to be held at 1 p.m. Kozhikode city corporation secretary Mrunmayi Joshi will be the guest of honour.
