Warehoused to be opening film of KIFF

Mexican movie Warehoused , which won the FIPRESCI (Federation of International Film Critics) Award for the best foreign film at the International Film Festival of Kerala, will be the inaugural film of the third Kozhikode International Film Festival (KIFF). The festival will begin on February 10.

A total of 15 foreign films, including three other films that were screened in IIFK, have been selected for the festival being organised by the Kozhikode Municipal Corporation in association with Aswini Film Society and Bankmen’s Film Society with the support of the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, Federation of Film Societies of India and Calicut Press Club Film Society.

Knife in the Clear Water from China, Where are my shoes from Iran, Inner City from Azerbaijan, Looking for Eric from Britain, Son of Saul from Poland, Red Butterfly Dream from Sri Lanka, Sink from South Africa, Z from Algeria, Motorcycle Diaries from Argentina, Ashes and Diamonds from Poland, Taste of Cherry from Iran, Innocence from Australia and Psycho by noted film-maker Alfred Hitchcock are the other foreign films to be screened in the festival.

Georgian movie The President directed by noted Iranian film-maker Mohsen Makhmalbaf will also be screened.
