Bapu Musliar laid to rest with State honours

The body of Sunni leader and Haj Committee Chairman Kottumala T.M. Bapu Musliar was interred with State honours at Kalambadi Juma Masjid graveyard near here on Wednesday. Thousands of people from different walks of life paid him homage.

Funeral prayers

The funeral prayers were held in several rounds. Panakkad Sayed Hyderali Shihab Thangal led the final round of prayers.

Hayy, A. Najeeb Moulavi, M.T. Abdulla Musliar, T. Arifali, Shaikh Mohammed Karakkunnu, C.P. Umer Sullami, P.K. Kunhalikutty, and E.T. Mohammed Basheer, MP, MLAs Sayed Abid Husain, P. Abdul Hameed, M.Ummer, T.A. Ahamed Kabeer, N. Shamsuddin, V. Abdurahman, Manjalamkuzhi Ali, T.V. Ibrahim, A.P. Anil Kumar, and P.K. Abdu Rabb, KPCC president V.M. Sudheeran and BJP State president Kummanam Rajasekharan were among those who paid tributes.

Musliar died at a private hospital at Kozhikode on Tuesday. His body was brought to his home at Kalambadi in the evening, and the funeral took place on Wednesday morning.
