The city police seized 6,000 packets of banned pan masala in raids carried out near the Vellayil railway station here on Saturday.
Manoj, 39, who hails from Palakkad, and Eldho, 40, from Thrissur, were arrested in connection with the seizure.
Rs.1.4 lakhThe banned products, known by the trade name Hans and valued at Rs.1.4 lakh in the local market, was brought by train from Coimbatore, the police said.
The police had seized pan masala packets from near the National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NIT-C) on Friday.
