Five seniors ministers of the West Bengal government led by State’s Parliamentary Affairs Minister Partha Chatterjee met Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi on Friday and raised the issue concerning the arrest of Transport Minister Madan Mitra by the CBI.
“We have informed him about the manner in which minister Madan Mitra has been arrested.
State’s Panchayat Minister Subrata Mukherjee, Power Minister Manish Gupta, Law Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya and Minister for Women and Child Development Shashi Panja accompanied Mr. Chatterjee.
Admitting that the CBI has been directed by the Supreme Court to investigate the Saradha scam, he said that if the agency finds Trinamool leaders guilty, they should name them in the charge-sheets filed by the agency.
