Students revoke hunger strike

November 25, 2014 10:56 am | Updated November 16, 2021 04:44 pm IST - KOLKATA:

A section of the students of the city’s Presidency University revoked their hunger strike here on Monday after University Vice-Chancellor Anuradha Lohia assured them of special supplementary examinations.

As many as 20 students had been observing a hunger strike for almost 48 hours in the University campus since Saturday to protest against the University’s ‘sudden’ decision to debar 180 students from appearing in the semester-end examinations as they fell short of the required attendance percentage.
