A delegation of the State unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) met Governor M.K. Narayanan here on Thursday and apprised him on the post-poll attacks on the BJP supporters across the State.
State BJP president Rahul Sinha said the delegation raised various instances of attack particularly the incident at Sandeshkhali in the State’s North 24 Parganas district where more than 20 supporters of the party were attacked allegedly by activists of the ruling party.

The BJP leader said that he felt that the Governor may inform President Pranab Mukherjee who was likely to arrive in the city later during the day. He was accompanied by senior BJP leader Shamik Bhattacharya who contested the Lok Sabha polls from Basirhat area under which Sandeshkhali area falls.
