: Emirate Airline will introduce an additional facility between the city and Dubai, besides offering First Class service, marking an enhancement of its service for this market.
Making this announcement, Vice President India & Nepal, Essa Sulaiman, said the facility would be launched on March 29 when it will begin operating the larger 777 – 200 ER on the route. It currently operates A 333-200. The new service and upgrade will represent a weekly capacity increase of 250 seats in each direction.
Emirates started its city services in March 2006, this being its seventh destination in India.
“The additional flight and increased capacity also means strengthening of travel options available not just to Kolkata but the entire east and Northeast India region,” Ahmed Khoory Senior Vice President Commercial Operations — West Asia and Indian Ocean Emirates Airline, said in a release.
