Bengal Governor gets additional charge of Bihar

: West Bengal Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi has been given additional charge of Bihar. The tenure of the present Governor of Bihar Dr. D. Y. Patil will come to an end on November 26.

“The President of India is pleased to appoint Shri Keshari Nath Tripathi, Governor of West Bengal, to discharge the functions of the Governor of Bihar, in addition to his own duties,” said a press release issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan here on Sunday.

The release also states that Mr. Patil will hold the charge until regular arrangements for the office of the Governor of Bihar is made. Mr. Tripathi was sworn in as the Governor of West Bengal in July.
