Bengal Class XII results: Boys’ pass percentage sees higher jump

The pass percentage for male students appearing in the West Bengal Higher Secondary examination (Class 12), whose results were declared on Monday, showed a higher jump compared to their female counterparts examinees over last year.

A total of 6,96,836 students enrolled for the exam while 6,90,768 appeared, said the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education, which conducts the examination.

In 2016, the percentage of male pass outs is 85.11 as against 82.96 last year, while for female students, the percentage is 82.26 as against 81.8, while the total pass percentage showed a slight jump from 82.38 in 2015 to 83.65.

As many as 42.01 per cent students scored 60 per cent or more. - IANS
